Reverend Richard Williams, Jr. 

Reverend Richard Williams, Jr. a native of Conway, South Carolina, the oldest child of Pauline Wilson Williams and Richard/Sheryl Williams, Sr. Pastor Williams was reared in Friendship Missionary Baptist Church-Conway, under the Pastorate of Dr. Charles M. Pee. He was educated in the Horry County public school system. Pastor Williams is a (2004) graduate of South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, a residential high school for talented South Carolinians. Upon graduation in (2004) Reverend Williams went to Baltimore, MD to study vocal performance at Peabody Conservatory of Music. In (2008) Reverend Richard Williams heard the call to preach, his initial sermon was preached on September 5, 2010.  His sermon was entitled the “Fierce Urgency of Now”. 

He served as Youth Pastor at Good Shepherd Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Restia Whitaker until he was called to be Youth Pastor at Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church in January (2013). There Pastor William was under the tutelage of Reverend Dr. James H. Cokley.  Reverend Williams is highly compelled to preach the Word of God and Win Souls for God’s Kingdom.

Pastor Richard Williams was blessed to share the Gospel of Our Lord and Savior to Mainland China and Hong Kong in (2004).  Also in July (2012) to Bindura, Zimbabwe.

After completion of his study at Washington Bible College, Washington, DC; Pastor Williams took the reigns at Bristol Creek Missionary Baptist Church. His vision was to “Rebuild the walls and Revive the People”. He pastor at Bristol Creek for almost 4 years before pursuing a direction of ministry as God lead him. Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, Pastor Williams accepted the pastor-ship at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Williams share a home in Conway, SC with his lovely wife/high school sweetheart former Meghan Colleen Jordan, their beautiful daughter (Jenna-Grace) and two handsome sons: (Caleb Richard, and Johnson Parker).
